A.B.S. YEDİTEPE INTERNATIONAL SURVEY CONSULTATION AND SUPERVISION CO. INC has, since 1988, been providing in Turkey and abroad, services mainly in the fields of Claim handling, Surveying, Loss Adjusting, Risk Assessment, Inspection and Consulting, Recovery to distinguished insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, re-insurance companies, Owners, charterers, banks, leasing companies, loss adjusters, industrial enterprises, import-export and shipping companies.

Our services are provided by a group of managers, engineers, surveyors and experienced office and inspection staff consisting mainly of Ocean-going Ship Masters, Marine Engineers, Architects and Engineers in almost every branch. Beside our head office in Istanbul, we have our own surveyors in various parts of Turkey and a branch office in Izmir with quick access to Mediterranean ports to ensure quick response and early intervention to help improve the quality of service and to save time and money.

Our company is giving great importance to cooperation with international companies and is the privileged partner of foreign companies like Cesam France and DP Survey Group NV.

Our mission is to enhance our position as the premier provider of local loss adjusting, surveying and insurance related services to promote and integrate the services provided by A.B.S. YEDITEPE while maintaining superior servicing and better than average market returns.

OUR SERVICES

ABS Yeditepe is servicing with Turkish and English Languages. We are pro-active, on call around the clock and serving 7/24 without any supplementary costs all around Turkey with our own surveyors. We are especially concentrated on the rapidity of our reaction, to appoint the best and most experienced surveyor for each survey, which is evaluated on a case per case basis.

ABS Yeditepe is very concerned by the always harder economical difficulties faced by his clients and our services are cost effective. We have substantial opportunities to mitigate the claims thanks to our extended salvage buyers’ network and knowledge about Turkish shipyards.

OUR TEAM

We have always been convinced that our strenght is our team. On the technical side, we have engineers of various backgrounds, marine engineers, ex Captains, Chief Officers with substantial seafaring experienced. Our claim handlers have various experiences in shipping companies, insurance companies and Pandi Clubs’ correspondency.

Thanks to the motivation and determination of our team and because of the globalisation of our profession, we are able to propose our services around the clock, week end and bank holidays included, our team is always on duty.

We are also particularly focussed on the reporting to our clients, knowing that we are their ears and eyes were they cannot physically be. After each inspection in a 24 hours time, we provide to our principals a very detailed preliminary report and pictures allowing them to fully understand the circumstances of the matter. Our final report is issued immediately after closing of the case.

CESAM CONFERENCE IN PARIS
We assisted to the Cesam conference in Paris on 05 & 06.05.2014 dedicated this year to infrastructures and logistic serving major projects. Various speakers, such as professors of Paris Universities, professionals of the insurance market, European maritime clusters’ representatives, shipowners and marine technical advisors presented various topics on this central theme. We assisted to the conference in our quality of Cesam agent and it was the opportunity to meet our already existing clients and to expand our relations on the French insurance market.

On 06.05.2014, L’Union des Courtiers d’Assurances Maritimes et Transports (marine and transport Broker Union), and all the association’s fellow partners, all transports risks insurance professionals were invited to attend the UCAMAT breakfast as an opportunity to meet and share their experience about Marine & Transport Insurance activities.

Swiss Re ziyaretimiz, görüşmeler ve sunumlar sonrası Mr. Gianni TESTA ve ekibi ile yenen keyifli öğlen yemeğiyle devam etmiştir.
MUNCHEN RE VISITED US
Münich Re yetkililerinin 19 Temmuz 2017 tarihinde şirketimizi ziyaretleri, kahvaltı sonrası görüşmelerle devam etmiştir. 9 Ekim 2017 tarihinde bu sefer şirket yetkililerimizce iş ortaklarımız kendi şirket merkezlerinde ziyaret edilmişlerdir.
EUROPORT EXHIBITION
We attended the EUROPORT ISTANBUL 13th International Maritime Exhibition organised between 11th and 14th March 2015 at the Istanbul Exhibition Centre on behalf of the IMEAK Maritime Chamber of Commerce.

The exhibition was the occasion for the major players of the maritime field to gather during 4 days. The exhibitors were made of agencies, associations and federations, brokerage companies, technical marine suppliers, engineering services, shipowners, harbour services, mega yacht equipment and technology, navigation aids, ship builders and agencies, stevedoring, amongst other specialties. The exhibitors were coming from Turkey but also from other continents, mainly from Europe, Asia and USA.

During the 4 days of exhibition, seminars took place with various speakers about various themes including ship recycling and matchmaking, fuel efficient and low emission ,, Norwegian ship equipment…
MEETING IN ROTTERDAM
On the 25th of September 2013, the RaetsMarine Network seminar took place Rotterdam. More than 200 people participated to this event. The event was meant to strengthen the relationship between the suppliers (correspondents, lawyers and surveyors) and RaetsMarine Insurance. The event focused on one main topic “the future is fixed” and was the opportunity to focus on the future maritime developments and concerns that both Raets Marine and their partners could have to enhance the services provided to the Members.

This event was also the opportunity for our Directors, Mrs. Caroline Paul and Captain Cuneyt Din, to meet their homologues and discuss about common concerns and nowadays market. Our company is proud to be partner of Raets Marine and will concentrate to develop our existing relations, especially in respect of Pandi Entry condition surveys.
AGENT OF CESAM
We are proud to announce that as from 01.08.2013, ABS Yeditepe, became the official average agent of the CESAM based in France. CESAM ‘Comité d’Études et de Services des Assureurs Maritimes et Transports’ is an Economic Interest Group, providing services to member companies, bringing together French and foreign companies in the marine insurance business. Cesam has been acting in the insurance arena since 1988, as a direct successor of the association of underwriters having been formed in the 17th century.

CESAM, a professional Organisation bringing together over than 90 well known Insurance Companies entitled to carry on marine and transports business in FRANCE, enjoys an uncontested reputation for seriousness and strength.

The CESAM also comprises Associate Members, mainly reinsurers and foreign affiliates of French Insurance Companies, as well as Correspondent Members, being foreign Insurance Companies not established in Europe.

ABS Yeditepe, although already activilly working for European and worlwide established underwriters is delighted to be recognised by one’s peers and to reinforce his presence internationnally thanks to inconditionnal professionalism and seriousness.
AGENCY AGREEMENT OF DPS
At the occasion of a fairy like dinner along the Bosphorus, the 2 companies signed an agency agreement, sealing the satisfactory cooperation. At that occasion, Mrs. Rositsa Ganeva, from DP Survey Office in Antwerp/Belgium, being international Coordinator and claim handler with a comprehensive knowledge of the Turkish market, travelled to Istanbul to sign the agreement. Around the tables were sitting the President of Yeditepe Group, Mr. Nasit Yamanyar, the 2 Directors of the company, Mrs. Caroline Paul and Capt. Cuneyt Din, our international coordinators and our surveyors.

ABS Yeditepe is proudly handling the DPS claims and loss prevention surveys all around Turkey and trust that excellent services will continue to be rendered to DP Surveys through the years the contract will last and even after. This meeting was also the occasion to discuss about how to enhance the strong position of each company in its respective country thanks to this now official partnership.

ABS Yeditepe is proud to be member of a professional network like DPS and trust that our relations will extend in the near future with new common projects. It was announced that the next agency meeting would be in Istanbul in 2014 and our efforts will be concentrated in welcoming our guests in the best possible way.
18th FUTUR ALLIA
FUTUR ALLIA is one of the leading business events and business development’s platform in term of participating companies and business opportunities, regrouping over 600 companies coming from 30 different countries, trading in many different sectors. We have participated during 2 days to the matchmaking process based on business targets with full satisfaction.

During these three days we individually met these companies in a head to head talk, to discover their sector of activity and seal some business deals. They had the opportunity to increase the regional impact of the company over some countries such as Turkey, Belgium, Afghanistan, Slovenia, Cameroon, Tunisia, Egypt, France and the United States of America. Mrs. Paul, Capt. Din and Mr. Erkan met companies from all over those countries, and got during these three days collaboration promises to be concreted soon.
SHANGAI FREIGHTCARE MARINE
Proud of our partnership with Shanghai Freightcare Marine Services Co in China since years as our exclusive surveyor in China, we had the opportunity to visit their offices in Shanghai, to meet Mr. LIN Jun, the General Manager and to talk about our cooperation over the past years and for the forthcoming years. Our view of the quality and excellence in the insurance services and consultation fields have been always corresponding and the meeting was the opportunity to enhance our collaboration. We had furthermore the occasion to meet GL & CO. Law Firm, in the person of Mr. LIU Guiming, General Manager and we were warmly welcomed to exchange our views on marine services and consultancy in both China and Turkey.

Our common view of the services level to be offered to our clients leaded to cooperative prospects in the future. As a result of this fruitful collaboration, we are pleased to advise our distinguished clients that we are able to offer a full range of services in China thanks to our partners, in consultancy, surveying, loss adjusting, recovery and legal services.

The congress was a real success for our Group, and we could introduce the company to new world regions’ market. The next edition will be held in France in Lyon in 2014.



RECOVERY, LEGAL CONSULTING

We have established a dedicated team for handling marine claims and performing recovery actions on behalf of underwriters and self insureds.

The aim of our recovery department is to provide any service in relation with the recovery of invoices, unpaid cargo claims, to recover any dues in the smoothest and quickest way and provide adequate defense system in Turkey for our foreign clients and abroad for our local clients.

Whenever needed, thanks to our legal experience, in house Court agreed surveyors and associated lawyers, we are in position either to settle a claim, or to proceed in front of the competent jurisdiction, should the debtor or the liable party be reluctant to recognize its fault.

We are offering a wide range of legal services either in Turkey or abroad thanks to our network of professional associated partners and lawyers.
